  • A hypnotic trance state is a focused state of attention in which a person becomes highly absorbed in their inner experience while reducing awareness of external distractions. It is not sleep, and it is not mind control—it’s a natural, relaxed state that increases suggestibility, imagery, and emotional openness. We enter into similar states often throughout our day - when watching tv or social media, reading, daydreaming, and even driving.

  • Hypnotherapy is a form of mental therapy and practical tool that uses guided hypnosis to help a person reach a deeply relaxed, focused state where they become more open to therapeutic suggestions, reflection, and emotional processing. It combines psychological techniques with the hypnotic trance state to support behaviour change, healing, and self-awareness. It is a gentle and safe way to approach difficult behaviours, thoughts, emotions and experiences.

    Imagine your mind as a car and you are being taught to drive off-road. You already possess the skill to operate the vehicle through a system of roads laid out for you, and now you are learning how to navigate the path that is not.

    Like learning any new skill, hypnotherapy takes patience, dedication and practice. My role as a practitioner is to companion you through a series of internal exercises designed to strengthen connection to your inner world.

  • Hypnotherapy is useful for helping you reconnect with and reclaim ownership ov your core Self. Doing so creates the conditions for insight to surface—often with a quality that feels quiet, intuitive, and ancient. This practice is very helpful in learning to decompress the nervous system and focus the mind. Overall it is an incredible tool to have as you work through the human condition.

  • The subconscious mind holds our felt experience — the memories, learned behaviours, and emotional patterns that shape who we are beneath the surface. It influences our automatic responses, from habits and fears to the tone of our inner dialogue and the images that arise in imagination. Unlike the conscious mind, which focuses on logic and daily tasks, the subconscious communicates through symbol and metaphor. It learns and transforms through imagery, story, and emotion rather than reason alone. Always listening, it absorbs information from everything we encounter — words, sensations, and the environments we move through — yet it cannot discern what is a help or hinderance. When we begin to understand and engage with this deeper part of ourselves, we can reshape the narratives that quietly direct our lives and move toward greater coherence, creativity, and ease.
